Responsible for verifying that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products meet defined requirements, specifications, and customer expectations. This role ensures that inspection activities are performed consistently and accurately, supporting the organization’s ability to deliver conforming products. Performs inspection activities at incoming, in-process, and final stages of production. This includes verifying dimensions, visual characteristics, labeling, packaging, and documentation against engineering drawings, specifications, and defined requirements and ensures that the correct revision of drawings and applicable documents are used at all times. Inspection methods must be applied consistently, and acceptance criteria must be clearly understood and followed. Proper use of measuring and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools. The inspector is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is within calibration and used correctly to maintain accuracy and reliability of results.
