  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electronics, including switch mode power supplies, control circuits, and analog/digital components.
  • Analyze systems without full documentation, often working with minimal schematics.
  • Use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, power supplies, hi-pot testers, etc.) and perform high-quality soldering.
  • Assist in designing and building test fixtures and loads.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks like drilling, tapping, and screw extraction.
  • Support modifications (electrical and mechanical) to customer products.
  • Utilize PC software (Microsoft Office, Excel, Access) and basic networking. Knowledge of LabVIEW is a plus.
  • Travel to customer sites (mostly US-based, occasional international travel) and interact with customers professionally and diplomatically.
  • Assist with general office and lab duties (cleaning, receiving, shipping, sourcing materials).

 

Requirements

  • US Citizen Required
  • 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic devices, especially power supplies.
  • Formal electronics education (tech school or military training is acceptable).
  • Proficient with electronic test equipment, soldering, and rework.
  • Ability to troubleshoot with minimal documentation and work independently.
  • Basic mechanical skills (drilling, tapping, screw extraction) and some fabrication experience.
  • Comfortable working with high-voltage systems.
  • Strong communication and diplomatic skills for customer interactions.
