Key Responsibilities

  • Complex Setups: Perform "first-time-right" setups on Kitamura, Quaser, and YCM CNC platforms without supervision using set-up sheets with visual assistance.
  • Control Expertise: Navigate and edit programs fluently using Fanuc and related control systems but not a requirement.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in multi-axis machining (5-axis) and manual machining techniques.
  • Blueprint & GD&T: Interpret intricate technical drawings and apply Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure part compliance.
  • Process Optimization: Adjust feeds, speeds, and HSM (High-Speed Machining) strategies to maximize the rigidity and precision of our specific machine tools.
  • Precision Inspection: Utilize micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM data to verify tolerances
  • Leadership: Serve as a technical resource, assisting with troubleshooting and complex fixturing.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

  • Machine Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a precision environment, with documented experience on Kitamura, Quaser, or YCM equipment or Fanuc Controls.
  • Material Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of how different materials react to heat and cutting speeds.
  • Tooling: Deep understanding of high-performance tooling
  • Mathematics: Strong proficiency in shop trigonometry and geometry.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods in a shop environment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment while performing your daily job with strong organizational skills.
