Assists in the completion of work order paperwork for proper processing and costing of jobs Act as liaison for manufacturing and support groups such as engineering, technicians, production control and management Integrates, debugs, and tests precision mechanical, electrical, and optical subassemblies into complex systems Configures computer systems to unique customer configurations with hardware and software. Has basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs Perform basic metal fabrication; (ie - drilling, tapping, cutting metal) Initial setup, alignment, and verification of precision assemblies at system level Assists in the generation of new product or subassembly documentation and work instructions Provides feedback to engineering regarding errors or omissions in existing documentation.
