Summary/Objective
The Welder Fabricator position prepares, fabricates, and welds components related to the manufacturing of AVS equipment.
Essential Functions

- Reads and interprets mechanical drawings, schematics, and bill of materials to facilitate the fabrication / assembly of AVS’s products / services.
- Cleans and prepares parts using hand and power tools such as grinders and wire brushes.
- Identifies and utilizes a variety of fittings used on AVS equipment (low pressure / high pressure)
- Operates material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks overhead cranes, etc.)
- Layout and fit up of weldments per AVS drawings.
- Utilizes hand tools to facilitate the mounting and installation of components (drill / tap, threaded connections, etc.)
- Weld assemblies per WPS / codes and drawings.
- Performs field service work outside of AVS to facilitate the repair and or installation of customers equipment on an as needed basis.
