This role encompasses full-cycle coordination of shipping, logistics, receiving, and inspection processes to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of machined and assembled parts. Responsibilities include selecting proper packaging based on component sensitivity, processing shipments through ERP/MRP systems, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups. It also involves detailed final inspections to confirm parts meet engineering and customer specifications, collaborating with the quality team to resolve discrepancies, and ensuring only compliant parts are shipped.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of logistics or shipping/receiving experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of fit, form, and function verification for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, part documentation, and quality control standards.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS, LTL carriers).
  • Proficient in packaging sensitive components for domestic and international shipment.
  • Hands-on experience with outside service workflows and coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable coaching peers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Preferred Attributes:

    • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume, job-shop environment.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems and documentation.
