Senior Customer Service Engineer Responsibilities: Primary responsibility to interface with customers, debug and resolve customer issues. Provide high quality technical server support. Deliver timely and high quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. Work with developers to identify and implement enhancements to the product to improve robustness and serviceability. Develop and implement strategies for providing proactive support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments. Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems. Work at the customer site, if required. Valid Passport required as travel outside the United States may be required. Background required Required: Must have extensive knowledge of SQL. Must have experience in SQL query analysis, re-writing queries and database performance optimization. Production database system administration and support is a major plus. Strong knowledge of UNIX and database technologies. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP is also a plus. Experience working in a 24x7 support environment.
